Parece que se todos os Planos Directores Municipais (vulgo PDM's) forem aprovados e todas as habitações previstas construídas teremos casas para 40 milhões de habitantes! Não interessará muito pegar no tema: o lobby da construção civil é um dos grandes contribuidores para os cofres partidários para já não falar dos depauparados cofres camarários. Depois é toda uma miríade de oportunistas e não oportunistas que dependem desta indústria para sobreviver: arquitectos, funcionários públicos, negociantes de meia-tigela, grandes tubarões, mediadores imobiliários, operários ilegais, sub-empreiteiros, engajadores, empresas e indústrias de material de construção, etc., etc., etc. Só pergunto onde é que tanta casa vai ser construída? Em cima umas das outras, provavelmente... Depois também ninguém fala no logro que é dizer-se que o investimento numa casa é o mais seguro que se pode fazer; uma casa é sempre uma casa, pode sempre vender-se mais tarde realizando mais valias... Pois, quando existirem, não digo casas para 40 milhões, mas para, digamos, 20 milhões (e mesmo contando com algumas casas de férias), o que vai acontecer ao mercado inundado de oferta??? E, entretanto, casas com história nos centros das cidades estão, na sua maioria, em ruínas ou para lá caminhando.
